How to get AHA Certified
Why choose American Heart Association Accreditation?
The American Heart Association provides several Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) courses designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of hospital. Through either our new eLearning, Learn Rhythm-Adult or HeartCode™ ACLS Anywhere products, AHA has a course whether you need to learn new skills, prepare for an existing AHA ACLS course or need a refresher in certain skills. The completely redesigned American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support course is based on new science evidence from the 2005 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC and a new teaching methodology. This course stresses the importance of a foundation for strong basic life support skills to treat effectively children and infants in cardiopulmonary emergencies.
The American Heart Association now provides alternative ways for healthcare providers to receive initial or renewal certification for Basic Life Support (BLS). Through our new eLearning online courses, you can now access courses at your own convenience and time that develop the important BLS skills you need.
Receive initial and renewal certification through the HeartCode™ BLS Anywhere course and the BLS HCP Online part 1 course or take First Aid course.
